Ken Perrone, Head Coach

Ken Perrone is entering his 25th season as the head coach of the Salem State College baseball program. Perrone has amassed an overall record of 547-291-4 over the past quarter century directing the Vikings.

The University of Maine at Orono graduate has directed SSC diamond teams to 16 postseason tournament appearances, including three NCAA bids and 13 ECAC invitations. The 2006 season evolved into an historic one for Perrone and his squad when the Vikings won their first ever Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference playoff championship en route to winning the program's first ever NCAA tournament game.

The 2006 squad equaled the program's all-time single season record for victories (34-8) which matched the 1985 team's wins total (34-6). Perrone's first team in 1983 earned the program's first ever NCAA tournament invite when the Vikings posted a 20-9 record. The 1987 team captured the ECAC-New England tournament crown and the 1994 club secured the program's second national playoff appearance.

All told, Perrone's SSC teams have recorded sixteen 20 or more win seasons and three 32 or more win seasons.
