The 2007-08 SSC golf team's goal was to return to the NCAA Division 3 Tournament this spring. If selected, the Vikings would have made their third straight - and the prgram's 31st -national playoff appearance.

Viking linksters place runner-up at the Sterling Spring Invitational

The Vikings shot a 318 to place second behind champion Nichols College at the Sterling Spring Invitational Tournament hosted this afternoon by Worcester State College.

Nichols topped the 13-team field with a final score of 314. SSC was led by Doug Croteau's 77, Nick Antonelli's 78, Jeff Santora's 79 and Jon Shaw's 84.
