The College is in the process of building a new residence hall on its Central Campus that will house 450 students and open in the Fall of 2004. Built overlooking a picturesque salt marsh, the facility will be comprised of seventy-five (75) apartments, each equipped with a living room, full kitchen and two baths. The building will also feature a large lounge space with casual seating, televisions, and game tables, as well as smaller lounges conveniently located throughout the building. Common amenities include a fitness center, laundry facilities, and a mailroom. The Office of Residence Life will also be housed in the building.
In order to create a true living/learning environment, the building will include two (2) faculty apartments to house faculty who choose to commit their time and academic expertise to work programmatically within the facility. Finally, a state-of-the-art "smart seminar room," will be on the first floor with easy access to non-residents.
