Prospective students should consult the admission requirements for the M.Ed., M.A.T., C.A.G.S. and licensure-only programs of study to determine specific admissions requirements to that program. These program-specific requirements may include prerequisite courses, GPAs, and MTEL test scores. Consult with a Graduate School General Advisor or your Program Coordinator for further information. For Program Coordinators contact info, refer to the specific Graduate Program.

Admission to Graduate Education Licensure Programs

The SSC Graduate School has General Program Advisors who are happy to consult with prospective students about their professional goals, the graduate programs that might help them meet those goals and the backgrounds they bring to those programs. These advisors are available Monday - Thursday 4:00-7:00pm. Call 978-542-6323 for an appointment.
NOTE: Depending upon your qualifications, the General Advisor may suggest an additional meeting with the Program Coordinator of the program in which you are interested.

Additional Requirements

CORI Requirement
Massachusetts law requires that all schools conduct criminal background checks on current and prospective employees, volunteers, school transportation providers, and others who may have “direct and unmonitored contact with children.” Students must meet the Criminal Offender Records Information (CORI) requirements set by local school districts in order to complete pre-practicum field work and student teaching practica. Students unable to meet those requirements will be unable to complete SSC Educator Licensure Programs.
