Holiday Closing

As an energy cost-savings measure,
Salem State College will close from
Saturday, Dec. 22 - Tuesday, Jan. 1.

The following events/activities are ON!

The skating rink will be open to the public on these dates & times:

Salem State Hockey Classic Dec 27 & 28

Public Skate:
December 24, 26, 31 and January 1
12:30 pm - 1:20 pm (50 minutes)
Public Stick Practice:
December 24, 26, 31 and January 1
1:30 pm - 2:20 pm (50 minutes)

The following are CLOSED from 12/22/07 to 1/1/2008!

• O'Keefe Center gym and pool.
• All Academic Buildings
• All Administrative Offices
• The Library
• Mainstage

IT Service Availability (12/22/2007 to 1/1/2008)

• ClipperCard may be used for purchases ONLY during this time.
• Email, the college website, Blackboard, WebCT, and Navigator WILL BE AVAILABLE, but data will not be backed up. These systems will be monitored, however as the College is officially closed, outages will be attended to as soon as possible. Call x2036 to report system problems.
• The MH201 and CC129 computer labs will reopen on 1/2/2008 for Winter Session.
• The IT Helpdesk will be covered on regular business days from 8am to 5pm for system emergencies during the closing. Call x2036 to report system problems.

ATTN: Computer Users

Please remember, it is your responsibility to log out of all systems and shutdown your computer prior to leaving for the holiday break. However, if you are planning to use a VPN connection, you must leave your CPU turned on. Turn off you monitor. Contact the helpdesk x2036 if you have questions about these procedures.
