Faculty and Librarians: Apply Now for a Flash Summer Stipend - Deadline April 15

The Center for Research and Creative Activities (CRCA) is excited to announce a Flash Summer Stipend opportunity.

This opportunity offers four $1200 stipends to full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty and librarians who plan to conduct research, scholarship, and/or creative activities this summer.

The stipends will be awarded through a highly competitive selection process decided by the University Research Advisory Committee (URAC). The committee will prioritize newer faculty and librarians, as well as those who have not received internal grants in the past year.

Requirements

Each Flash Summer Stipend recipient will receive a flat-rate $1200 payment as compensation for their time and effort dedicated to research, scholarship, or creative activities during the summer months (June-August 2024).

The stipend awards will be paid in the fall of 2024 after the awardee submits a required one-page grant report. The report must be submitted to ssu-research@salemstate.edu by September 15, 2024.

How to Apply

To apply, compose a 500-1000-word grant proposal detailing your summer project goals and intended outcomes.

Submit your proposal and your CV using the Flash Summer Stipend application form by Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
