Dear Resident Student,

On behalf of the Residence Life Staff, I extend a warm welcome to you as a new or returning member of our residential community! Living in one of SSC’s four residential areas offers you many unique opportunities, and we encourage you to take full advantage of the experience.

By living on campus, you are joining a nationally-recognized residential program. In May 2006, the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) named Salem State College as “National School of the Year” for the high caliber of student leadership, involvement, programming, advocacy, and community development occurring in the residence halls. This honor is due to the investment that you, our residence hall students, make in our residence halls. We hope that you will get involved in your floor, entryway, or hall.

Read through this site - it will help you to make your residential experience a positive one. It covers staff, suggestions for living with roommates, the Residence Hall Association, policies and procedures, and general housing info. We are happy to answer any questions you have, and are available to ensure that your residential experience is a great one.
