Summer 2006 Timeline: Blackboard to WebCT changeover

System Requirements

• Computer with an Internet connection
• Web browser (Netscape 4.7x or Internet Explorer 5.x preferred)

America On-line (AOL) browsers have many problems with Blackboard. AOL users are encouraged to use Netscape or Internet Explorer to browse the web using their AOL accounts. (Contact AOL technical support to learn how to do this.) Macintosh users may need to upgrade to 5.x browsers to use the chat feature (virtual classroom) of Blackboard. WebTV users have also reported difficulties using Blackboard.

• Create a New Blackboard Course (Summer Session Classes ONLY)
• Enrolling in a Blackboard class/Info for Students

Faculty Responsibilities

• Verify the class roster (all students must be registered!)
• Upon course completion; archive, copy or export your course
• Archiving a Blackboard Course
