NetMail

SSC NetMail is Salem State's web-based student email system. Before accessing your email you will need to activate your SSC Netmail account.

1. Log onto your Navigator portal page: http://navigator.salemstate.edu
2. Click Activate My Email in the SSC Netmail pagelet
3. The form will return your NetMail username, password, and email address
4. Your NetMail password must be changed immediately

How do I log in?
You can access SSC Netmail through your portal homepage.
Login to: http://navigator.salemstate.edu
This is also the gateway to your Academic Homepage for online registration and access to your grades and schedule, WebCT, the SSC Library, etc.

Can I access NetMail directly?
Yes, it is located at http://netmail.salemstate.edu

Will I be able to forward my SSC email to my own personal email?

If you would like to forward your SSC NetMail to different account:

• Click on Options > Mailbox Management
• Under Mailbox Settings, select 'Yes' for the 'Forward All New Messages' option
• Type in your personal email address in the 'Forward To' field
• Click [Save]

Can I use a different email program?
Yes, you can use any email program that supports either POP3 or IMAP. You will need the following information:

Incoming Mail Server
POP3: polaris.salemstate.edu
IMAP: polaris.salemstate.edu

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
SMTP: blizzard.salemstate.edu (from on-campus only)
To use SSC Netmail off-campus you need to use your ISP's SMTP server.
