View important information about this upgrade.

Course & Account Info

Request a WebCT Course

Fill out the request form and within a day or two your class (called sections in WebCT) will be available, populated with your enrolled students as listed in PeopleSoft. Courses only last for the current semester - they aren't reused. New courses have to be requested each time they are run.

Save your Course Template

Templates are copies of a course for use in future semesters. All material except for student work is put into the template including calendar entries and tests. Templates are not automatically made. If there is no template created, you can't get the course content back later.

WebCT Faculty (Instructor/Designer) Accounts

Faculty accounts are created via the course request process, and occur with the first WebCT course. A WebCT username and temporary password is sent to your SSC email.

Existing Faculty Accounts

If you've taught a course using WebCt, then you have an active account.

WebCT Student Accounts

Student accounts are automatically created upon a student's enrollment in a course using WebCt. The students are notified via their SSC email.
