BSBA and MSA Program
Eligibility
1. Candidates must be pursuing a BSBA with a concentration in accounting.
2. Candidates must have completed at least 72 credit hours at Salem State University prior to application.
3. Transfer students must complete at least 15 semester hours at Salem State University prior to application.
4. Candidates much have an overall GPA and a GPA in accounting concentration courses of at least 3.0 or better at the time of application.
Admission Requirements
1. Applications for admission into the accelerated program will be reviewed in December and May by the MSA program coordinator. Students may apply twice to the accelerated program.
2. Submit undergraduate transcript. Candidates must have an overall GPA and a GPA in Intermediate Accounting I (ACC300) at least of 3.0 or better.
3. Submit two letters of reference, including at least one from a Bertolon accounting faculty member.
4. Submit a personal statement of interest (500-1,000 words) providing your reasons for applying to the accelerated MSA program and sharing your career objectives.
5. The GMAT / GRE requirement is waived for applicants to the accelerated MSA program.
6. Optional: Submit a resume highlighting relevant employment and life experiences.
Program Retention Requirement
1. Candidates must maintain a GPA in accounting concentration courses of at least 3.0 or better in order to progress to the graduate portion of the combined program.*
