GIC Insurance + FSA Open Enrollment - Polaris (salemstate.edu)

Open enrollment for your Group Insurance Commission (GIC) benefits has begun. Although there are no major health insurance changes this year, the GIC encourages members to actively shop and evaluate different coverage options because providers and hospitals may change networks or tiering. Please carefully review the information on Polaris which includes the 2024-2025 GIC Benefits Decision Guide and the benefit carrier’s contacts to make informed decisions about your coverage.
As a reminder, you must re-enroll if you wish to participate in a health care or dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) effective July 1, 2024.
During open enrollment you can do the following:
- Enroll in or change health plans
- Enroll/Re-Enroll in flex spending benefits for 2023-2024
- Add/Drop dependents without a qualifying event
- Drop health insurance with the buy-out program
- Enroll in long term disability and/or optional life insurance
- Change smoker status for optional life insurance
