Join us for an afternoon of dialogue dedicated to preventing gun violence in Massachusetts. We will be joined by Representative Marjorie Decker and Moms Demand Action spokesperson Ann Haaser, who will participate in a panel discussion that addresses pending gun violence prevention legislation in the Commonwealth. Ms. Altagrace Beliard, the mother of our student Carl-Hens Beliard, who tragically fell victim to gun violence on November 1, 2023, will also be present at the event. Participants will be able to become civically engaged in the gun violence prevention movement through small group dialogues and opportunities for advocacy and action.
This event, a collaborative effort by the Center for Civic Engagement, Center for Inter-professional Education and Collaboration, and the Maguire Meservey College of Health and Human Services, is the inaugural event of our gun violence prevention and awareness campaign series. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.
