Invasive Species Removal on Winter Island
Join the Center for Civic Engagement, the Biology, and Geographical Society on a volunteer project to remove bittersweet (an invasive plant species) on Winter Island on Saturday, October 21, 2023. This event is hosted by The Salem Sound Coastwatch and the Bittersweet Brigade. SSU community members will meet outside of Dunkin Donuts in Meier Hall at 9:30 am and will be back on campus by 1 pm. This project needs over 30 volunteers to assist in the removal process. Transportation and snacks will be provided and the Bittersweet Brigade will provide tools.
