September Civic Dinner: Immigration and Education Access

Status message

Please note that this event has already occurred.

Please join the Center for Civic Engagement on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 pm for an evening of food, networking, and learning from local advocates invested in ensuring education access for our immigrant neighbors. Leaders will share with us information about their organizations, provide insight on the current issues impacting our community, policies that would eliminate barriers, and share their current advocacy efforts. They will also provide feedback on how students can be effective advocates for this important social issue.

Our guest advocates include:

  • Stephanie Rosario Rodriguez, Director of Programs, MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition)
  • Elsabel Rincon, Executive Director or WIN (Welcoming Immigrant Network)
  • Regina Zaragoza Frey, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Director of the City of Salem

The dinner will be held on North Campus in the Ellison Campus Center in the Underground Room.

Space is limited to 40 guests.
