A Talk with Holocaust Survivor Werner Salinger

Apr 02

As a young boy, Werner Salinger witnessed the violence of Kristallnacht in Berlin, Germany.  His family escaped to America, but as a young man in the 1950s, he enlisted in the US Air Force and returned to Germany working in intelligence.  It was there that he met his wife Martha, the daughter of a German soldier.

Join us as he reflects on how they made their lives together and their long process of familial reconciliation in the shadow of history.

This event is free and open to the public.

Cosponsored by the Jewish Employee Resource Group (JERG), Hillel and by the president’s office.
