Translation Speaker Series

Ukranian translator, Hanna Leliv, will offer a translation workshop to the community. She will guide participants through an exercise known as a “trot.” She hopes that “this can lead to some insightful conversations about the nature of translation, the demands of it, different translation strategies, and creativity (and the degree of creative liberty) involved.”

Hanna Leliv, a literary translator from Lviv, Ukraine. A former Fulbright fellow at the University of Iowa's Literary Translation Workshop, she was a 2022-2023 Leslie Center Faculty Fellow at Dartmouth College. In the fall 2023, Hanna is a translator-in-residence at Princeton.
