Announcing the Maguire Meservey College of Health and Human Services

$1 Million Raised to Honor President Meservey
May 23, 2017

Dear Salem State Community,

I am pleased to announce that Salem State University’s College of Health and Human Services has been named the Maguire Meservey College of Health and Human Services.

The naming was approved by Salem State’s Board of Trustees in accordance with the university’s Naming Opportunity and Recognition Policy, and it is especially fitting given President Meservey’s commitment to health care education throughout her career.

In conjunction with this naming, the Salem State University Foundation has raised $1 million for our institution’s unrestricted endowment to commemorate President Meservey’s legacy. This ambitious fundraising goal was reached in just 11 short weeks, which speaks volumes to President Meservey’s impact on campus and beyond.

Thank you to all who have contributed in commemoration of President Meservey’s legacy. She is passionate about increasing funding for the needs of students and our university as a whole. Those interested in joining this effort can do so here.

With gratitude,

Cynthia McGurren, ‘83

Vice President, Institutional Advancement
