WHAT: An Icelandic programmer and owner of the entrepreneurial meeting place, “Innovation House” in Magnolia, MA, Jon von Tetzchner, will speak at Salem State University on December 4. The event is an inaugural Global Engagement Forum organized by the university’s Center for International Education. It will include a discussion with von Tetzchner, followed by a Q&A moderated by Professor Robert Brown of the media and communication department. Jon von Tetzchner will speak about his own company, Opera Software, as well as his personal background and the future of technology. This free event is open to media and the public.

WHO: Jon von Tetzchner is a native of Iceland, where he co-founded the software company, Opera Software. He has resided in Gloucester, MA since 2013. Soon after moving to Gloucester, he launched “Innovation House,” a technology hub in Magnolia, MA. This event is organized by the Center for International Education.
