Ellison Campus Center Update

Jul 16, 2018

Some offices within the Ellison Campus Center (ECC) will change over the next few weeks as Student Life works to put people and offices in places that reflect our organizational structure. As has been shared – Student Involvement and Activities and Diversity and Multicultural Affairs were dissolved and the Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy and Diversity (LEAD) Office was created along with Student Life Operations.

Student Life Operations will take a more prominent space in the ECC building to assist with raising the awareness of Campus Center resources as well as continued event support. Staff members from the LEAD office will all be located within one physical space and the Cultural Enrichment Center will get a small facelift through repurposed furniture.

Please make note of the following changes below with an understanding that over the next three weeks, staff members in any of the affected areas (LEAD, Spiritual Life, Program Council, SGA, Student Life Operations, Multicultural Affairs) could be displaced. Each staff member has been instructed to create an automatic email reply that confirms their temporary location and a best way to contact them.

  • The LEAD staff will all be in the reorganized LEAD office on the second floor with a new entrance a door down – 218E
  • LEAD graduate assistants will be split between ECC 219 (formerly Spiritual Life) and ECC 202 (Diversity Center)
  • Student Life Operations will move to the main floor (in the old SGA space)
  • Student Government Association will move to the “garden level” in 013 the old student newspaper space
  • Program Council will move to ECC 204 – (former Diversity and Multicultural Affairs office)
  • Food Pantry will move from Meier Hall to the ECC kitchen
