A group of 25 undergraduate and graduate students, educators and community members joined Professor Chris Mauriello, director of the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Professor of History and Regina Kazyulina, Research Associate for the CHGS, for a 12-day study and travel course to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic to study the history of the Holocaust.
After three intensive days of a seminar on campus, the students (supported by scholarships from the CHGS) and the group traveled to Europe to visit concentration camps (Dachau and Mauthausen), memorials, museums and former Jewish neighborhoods in Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg, Vienna and Prague.
