Salem State University School of Nursing faculty member Hannah Fraley is used to serving students in the classroom. This year, she will take on an additional role in advocating for students in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District as a member of the school committee.
A registered nurse, Fraley's research interests include human trafficking, victimization of women and girls, and health as a human right. In her previous role as secretary of the school district's Special Education Parent Advisory Council, she also advocated for children in the special needs community.
Fraley writes, "Just as in the health sector, my model is prevention; I believe in a transformational, research-based preventative approach to service our special needs students, helping them thrive to reach their fullest potential."
