Phi Sigma Iota World Languages Honor Society Inducts New Members

Phi Sigma Iota, the international world languages honor society, confers the highest academic honors in the field of world languages and cultures.  The Salem State Chapter of PSI inducted 4 MAT in Spanish students, 16 undergraduate students (French, Italian and Spanish), 3 community leaders, 2 faculty and 1 librarian.  The ceremonies were a combined reception and virtual induction held on April 8 and April 13, 2022.

Also celebrated were 1 student for academic excellence and distinctive leadership in the discipline, 2 students for excellence in translation (Italian and Spanish), and 1 student for community advocacy.  The Seal of Biliteracy was awarded to 7 MAT in Spanish students and 1 undergraduate student in Spanish.
