Professor Emlinger leads faculty workshop on 'Effective Classroom Participation'

Geography and Sustainability associate professor Ana Emlinger led an animated workshop on February 12 entitled "Effective Classroom Participation: Strategies for Latinx and other Students." The purpose of the workshop was to introduce faculty to practical strategies for fostering enthusiasm and effective classroom participation, especially for quieter students or underrepresented students who may not feel safe.

Professor Emlinger is the Faculty Fellow for Latinx Student Success. This was the first in a series of workshops scheduled for the spring. Upcoming Effective Classroom Participation Strategies for Latinx and other Students workshops will take place on:
