Professor Stephen Young invited speaker at International Scientific Conference in Kazakhstan

Addressing sustainable development of arid territories

Geography professor Stephen Young was recently in Almaty, Kazakhstan as an invited speaker for “The International Scientific Conference - Arid Lands: Sustainability of Nature and Society" devoted to the urgent problems of sustainable development of arid territories in the central part of Eurasia hosted by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University jointly with Oxford University (UK) and the National Committee of UNESCO’s “Man and the Biosphere”. Professor Young presented his research on Climate Change and the Middle East.
