The Salem State University Board of Trustees is initiating the search for a successor to President Patricia Maguire Meservey this week by appointing a search committee. In accordance with the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education (BHE) guidelines for presidential search and selection, the board solicited nominations from the campus and is nominating a search committee that represents the diversity of our disciplines and community. The proposed membership follows:

The Board of Trustees will be asked to ratify these appointments at a special meeting on January 25, 2017. The first meeting of the search committee is scheduled for Thursday, January 26, 2017, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Petrowski room, Marsh Hall. A key element of the agenda is to interview firms to assist with the search.
As the committee enters into its work, regular updates will be provided to the campus community through the committee chair.
