What made you choose Salem State, and what is the one thing you think a prospective student should know about our campus community?

What made me choose Salem State? I remember viewing the campus and immediately feeling welcomed in a community full of people who are different than one another. Over the past four years, I have grown into who I am today because Salem accepted me no matter how I decided to express myself. I have changed my hair and clothing style, tried a million different styles, and never felt judged here all four years. I don’t think you can say that about most places, and I think that’s what makes them State so great!

What have you enjoyed most about your experience living on campus?

Being able to be so close to my friends!

What are you involved in on campus? (Student groups, clubs, organizations, jobs, internships, honors, or athletic affiliations)

In what ways has Salem State demonstrated its commitment to your success, both academically and personally? Can you share any specific instances where the university has gone above and beyond to support you?

The university has done it countless times, always offering support. If you ask for help, they are committed to helping you reach your goals!

As you near graduation, how do you feel Salem State has prepared you for your future career? What resources or opportunities have been particularly valuable in this regard?

As I head towards graduation, Salem State has helped me with moving into master’s school, which is also here at SSU. It has also given me numerous job opportunities and taught me how to connect with others!
