What have you enjoyed most about your experience living on campus?
I have lived on campus for four years and have loved spending time with my roommates and making friends in the residence halls. It was easier for me to make friends this way!
What are you involved in on campus? (Student groups, clubs, organizations, jobs, internships, honors, or athletic affiliations)
I have been involved in a few groups and organizations. I am part of Phi Sigma Sigma and was on their eBoard for two years. I also was on the eBoard for the Greek Council and the Psychology Club. I am an admissions ambassador and have been since spring 2021. I was promoted to the leadership team a year later and have been on it since.
Can you describe the educational value and affordability you’ve experienced at Salem State University? How has the university supported your academic journey regarding quality and accessibility?

Could you discuss the relationships you’ve developed with faculty members at Salem State and how these relationships have influenced your learning and personal growth?
I have a few people come to mind for this. My advisor was so helpful and strived to help me succeed. He was also the professor for one of my favorite classes and my Psychology Club advisor. Next, my admissions supervisor has helped me gain skills on the leadership team. She has been great to work with, and I have learned much from her.
Salem State emphasizes hands-on learning experiences. Can you share any memorable experiences where you’ve applied classroom knowledge in real-world settings through projects?
During my junior year at Salem State, I got a job as a behavior technician at a school. I absolutely loved it, and I was able to apply what I was learning in class to the kids at the school. It was so rewarding, and I loved that I could make a difference so early on.
What have you accomplished during your time at Salem that you are most proud of?
I have accomplished many things as a student at Salem State. The accomplishment I’m most proud of is getting a spot on the admissions leadership team. I love being an admissions ambassador and wanted to do more for the program. I also love being a leader and helping people be their best.
In what ways has Salem State demonstrated its commitment to your success, both academically and personally? Can you share any specific instances where the university has gone above and beyond to support you?
There have been times when my classes weren’t able to come first due to life getting in the way. My professors would always reach out and ask how I was doing instead of demanding work. They have been willing to give extensions on work if needed and are there for support.
As you near graduation, how do you feel Salem State has prepared you for your future career? What resources or opportunities have been particularly valuable in this regard?
Salem State prepared me for my future in so many ways. One resource is the career service office. They provide so many resources, like headshots, resume help, and mock interviews. They are super helpful when looking for a post-grad career. The psychology department also hosts a grad information session, which is super helpful in deciding where to go and how to apply.
What are your post-graduation plans, and how do you believe your time at Salem State has equipped you for success in pursuing them?
After graduating, I plan to attend grad school for behavior analysis and become a board-certified behavior analyst. Salem State has given me the skills and confidence to take on this next step with the ABA concentration.
