Student Success Series Workshop
The Student Success Series Workshop aims to equip students with essential skills and resources to thrive academically and personally. Throughout the workshop, participants can expect engaging sessions focused on topics such as time management, study strategies, effective communication, and stress management. By attending these workshops, students will have the opportunity to enhance their academic performance, develop crucial life skills, and foster a supportive community within the university.

Spring Week 2024 – Monday, April 22 – Monday, April 29
This year’s Spring Week will include a variety of fun and interactive events including, laser tag, Just Dance competition, sports events, trivia, food trucks, a bonfire and so much more. Check out the full schedule of events for more details.
Student Art Award Exhibition Monday, April 15 – Friday, May 10
Each year Art + Design recognizes the achievements of its most outstanding majors and minors. The 2024 Art + Design Student Awards exhibition features the work of 24 student artists and will be on display from April 15- May 10 in the Enterprise Center.
Something Rotten I April 26 – 28
This production is set in a Renaissance Faire, offering the audience an immersive experience the moment they walk in the door, Audience members are HIGHLY encouraged to come in Ren Faire costumes. You might even end up on stage! Filled with fabulous musical numbers and a hilarious plot line, this irresistible ode to musicals is a dose of pure Broadway fun!

Campus Life and Recreation/Gassett Fitness Center partner with a local physical therapist every month to offer you free advice! No need to pre-register.
Tuesday, April 23
Pasta Making at Taste Buds Kitchen I 5:30-7:30 pm
Join Campus Life and Recreation at Taste Buds Kitchen for a Handmade Pasta making class! We will be making fresh fettuccine pasta, roasted butternut squash ravioli, rustic tomato sauce and spinach ricotta ravioli. This is a vegetarian and nut-free menu but not an allergy-free facility and unfortunately, additional menu modifications cannot be made.
Graduating Senior and Alumni Celebration I 5:30-7:30 pm
Please join the Bertolon School of Business Alumni Network (BSBAN) for a complimentary celebration, on Tuesday, April 23 at 5:30 pm, at Sea Level restaurant in the heart of historic Salem, as we kick-start the summer with a fun night celebrating our graduating students and all things BSB!

Student Art Award Exhibition Reception and Award Ceremony I 5-7 pm
Each year Art + Design recognizes the achievements of its most outstanding majors and minors. Connective Tissue Disorders and Musculoskeletal Diseases I 5-6:30 pm
Join Dr. Jeff Kerher-Pediatric and Adolescent Sports Medicine Specialist-Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School for an interactive hands on presentation discussing the current evidence-based screening tools, assessment and interventions for children and adolescents who have a variety of connective tissue disorders. This is an online event and registration is required.
First-Generation Graduating Senior Cording Ceremony I 6-7:30 pm
First-generation graduating seniors who have been approved for graduation (as part of the Class of 2024) are invited to the annual cording ceremony, to receive their honor cords. Join university representatives to recognize your achievements as a first-generation college graduate.
Em Blackwelder Honors Thesis Presentation I 6-8 pm
A reading of select poems by Em Blackwelder from their chapbook “Yellow Women: Poetic Retratos” and a presentation by the author, including a gallery wall of first drafts and artwork.

The Occupation of the American Mind I 5-7:15 pm
The playing of The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in the United States, narrated by Roger Waters. Followed by discussion with the film’s executive producer, UMass Amherst Professor Emeritus Sut Jhally.
Mario Kart Tournament I 6-8 pm
Whether you prefer to play as Baby Mario or Donkey Kong, our Mario Kart Tournament gives you a chance to show your skills! Meet new friends, compete, and experience the esports lounge as the semester winds down. Pre-registration is not required.
Annual Graduate Reading I 7:30-9 pm
Come hear some of the North Shore’s up-and-coming talent at a celebration of Salem State’s Graduate Writing program.
Small Music Ensemble Concert I 7:30-9 pm
This concert has something for everyone! Join us for this free event which will include performances by the Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Abe Finch; the Guitar Ensemble under the direction of Raymond Gonzalez and the Improv Ensemble under the direction of Steve Lacey.

Small Press Panel and Submittathon I 10 am–2 pm
Are you curious about how to publish your literary efforts? Would you like to learn more about how to submit your work to publishers? Come hear Eileen Cleary, Paul Marion and Michael McInnis, publishers of local presses, talk about the work they do.
Sunday, April 28
Dances in the Raw and Student Recognition Ceremony I 2-3:30 pm
This free concert of dance works in progress includes student and faculty work. This concert will also feature a performance by the Hip Hop ensemble and a sneak peek at work being created by spring guest choreographer Mathew Cumbie. This event is also an opportunity for high school students who may be considering dance in college or current Salem State students to learn about Salem State dance.
