Summer Enrichment Program Brings Youth to Campus

For the fourth consecutive year, campers from Glen Urquhart School’s GAIN@GUS program toured the Salem State University campus. Admissions ambassadors took 31 campers around campus, showing them what it is like to go to college.

Campers visited classrooms, living areas in the residence halls, dining halls, the Berry Library and the Gassett Fitness Center. The visit, designed to introduce children between the ages of nine and 12 to the higher education experience, is part of the GAIN@GUS mission of introducing students in the cities of Beverly, Lynn, Danvers and the surrounding area to academic and recreational summer enrichment.
