The Center for Academic Excellence and the first-year experience office, with support from retention services, disability services, and tutoring, are excited to announce Virtual U: a series of workshops designed to help students prepare for success in online classes.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to invite their students to attend these workshops.
Topics include:
- Navigating asynchronous classes
- Taking notes in online classes
- Tips for online learning success
- Avoiding the most common mistakes in online classes
- Faculty tips for online success
- Earning participating point online
- Staying focused in an online class
- Tips and tricks to navigating Canvas
- Keeping your motivation up while learning online
- And more!
Virtual U workshops occur Monday-Friday, January 4-15 at designated times.
Details regarding session topics, dates, times, and zoom links will be available in mid-December on the Student Success Canvas page. No advance registration is required for students. They can pick and choose what they want to attend and simply log on at that time.
