- Students will pick one program they wish to apply to – so long as they apply by the program deadline and meet the requirements, we expect them to be accepted.
- Students complete a budget sheet with the study abroad staff
- Students meet with a financial aid advisor to discuss their specific aid packages
- Students complete the Salem State Study Abroad Application, consisting of:
- A personal statement as to why they want to study abroad
- A copy of their transcripts to show they meet the GPA requirement (varies by program)
- Disciplinary Clearance Form, answering whether or not they have been in trouble on campus
- A copy of their passport
- If a student does not yet have a passport, the study abroad staff will assist the student with the process
- A letter of recommendation from a faculty
After the student is approved, the study abroad staff will then assist the student with any next steps.
