Every year the Berry Institute of Politics partners with offices and departments across campus and organizations across the community to provide programming that informs our community on local, state and national issues to create an informed and engaged community and citizenry in preparation for election season.
The Berry IOP also provides active voter registration in classes and residence halls and months of intensive educational election programming leading up to elections. This work helps students understand and recognize the impact they can make with their voting choices, at both local and national levels.
Past election programming has included events such as:
- Pizza and Politics: Forums on Campaign Topics
- Debate Watch Parties
- Speaker Panels with Experts on Ballot Question Issues
- Fake News Workshops
- Candidate Debates
- Civic Art
- Mock Elections
- Get Out the Vote Parties for Early Voting and Election Day
