Internships and Careers in Healthcare Studies

Healthcare studies students at Salem State have many internship opportunities locally and regionally at renowned healthcare facilities, nonprofit organizations, as well as local and state public offices. Internship sites we work with include Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Salem Hospital (part of the Mass. General Brigham network), Massachusetts Eye and Ear, the Salem City Department of Public Health, Bridgewell, Northeast Arc, Recovery Centers of America and many more.

At the conclusion of their internship experience, healthcare studies students reflect back on their successes, what they might do differently, and lessons learned in the field. For Pre-Professional Day, students present research and projects.
