Join the healthcare studies department at Salem State University to study an interdisciplinary curriculum of the healthcare discipline. Learn about public health’s role in the healthcare system and the impact of research strategies and policy development on educating, and empowering communities over issues such as chronic disease and virus outbreaks. Opportunities for engagement include interning with local governments' boards of health, local/state political offices, community centers, and school-based health centers. Graduates are well-prepared for advanced study in the exciting field of public health.
