About Us
The Student Wellness CARE office of professionals works to offer support and resources to all students. This office can help students navigate, learn about, and access available resources and supports both on and off campus, as well as help students understand campus policies and learn how to advocate for themselves. Some examples for what students can seek support include:
- Personal and family crises
- Mental health or physical health concerns
- Basic needs insecurities (e.g., food, housing, transportation resources)
- Help in understanding academic policies and advocating for themselves (taking a leave of absence, communicating with faculty, etc.)
- Assistance with general wellness needs
- Other disruptive life events
- Connection to on-campus resources with offices (e.g., Academic Advising, Center for Accessible Academic Resources, Counseling and Health Services, Financial Aid, First Year Experience, etc.)
- Referrals to resources offered by off-campus community organizations
What You Should Know
- Support services are available for all undergraduate and graduate students
- Professionals in this office can connect virtually, in-person, by phone, or via email during business hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm)
- This office communicates with others on a “need to know” basis as stipulated under FERPA
How does it work?
- Case management services are available for students of all identities, including undergraduate and graduate students.
- We can connect virtually, in-person, by phone, or via email during business hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
- We can meet one time or as many times as needed
- It’s free, no insurance is needed
- We are private (not confidential) resources. That means we communicate with others on a “need to know” basis under FERPA.
